Miriam leads the Victoria Conservatory Fiddles and teaches private lessons at home in Victoria BC. Her focus is fiddle oriented, with emphasis on proper technique and ear training, as well as a little theory to give the student a strong foundation in understanding and enjoying music. She teaches all levels and all ages, and her genres include classical, American and Canadian old time, and bluegrass. She can also be found teaching workshops at summer camps including Fiddleworks on Salt Spring Island, and new this year: the BC Bluegrass Workshop in Sorrento BC, and camps in the North West Territories through the Kole Crook Fiddle Association and the Aurora Fiddle Society.
